Dunamase Supply

Description
Signed watercolour.
Graham was a frequent visitor to Ireland and painted the Rock of Dunamase several times as well as making a woodcut and stained glass window of the ruin. Evidently painted on a wet July day the sky retains the marks of raindrops and the artist has inscribed simply the word raining on the bottom edge.
Graham believes that each outdoor painting is in some way a record of his time in that place, of the light, and of his frustrations, pleasures and struggles in responding to what was in front of him. Against the Grain Goldmark 2015.
