African-Asian Elephant Hot on Sale

Elephants are the largest land mammals on earth and are found in Africa and Asia. The main threats in both parts of the world are human conflict, habitat loss and poaching for their ivory and meat. Approximately 30,000 elephants are murdered each year for the ivory trade. There are calls for a complete ban on the trade of ivory worldwide and until this is stopped, smuggling and poaching will continue.
