From the suite Places published in 1922; seven prints from impressions from the woodblocks designed and engraved by Paul Nash as illustrations for his prose poems.

Inspired by Samuel Palmer and Bake s Virgil the poems and illustrations have been likened to a pilgrim s progress from darkness to light.

Oxenbridge Farm was ownes by the Nash s friends the Buchanans and they visited regularly renting Oxenbridge Cottage from 1925 until 1930.
